Meet Janika, the creative soul and heart behind Coco Flowers!

Bloomable proudly welcomed Coco Flowers to our network of florists in 2023, and we’ve been flourishing together ever since. Janika is a passionate self-taught florist whose love for flowers is a vibrant tribute to her grandmother’s creative spirit. Each bouquet that she crafts is a sensory masterpiece where she blends textures, scents, and colours in a way that tells her unique story. Her floral designs are not just arrangements filled with fresh flowers, but expressions of the deep-rooted love and inspiration passed down through generations.

Over a decade ago, at just 21 years old, Janika began building her business in the charming town of Upington where she was born, educated, and later married. Now, as a mother of three, she gracefully balances motherhood with managing a thriving business that has grown to produce up to 100 floral arrangements each week. With the support of her small dedicated team, Janika ensures every bouquet is delivered fresh and beautifully crafted.

Janika’s long-distance relationship with flower markets is no match for her dedication. Through meticulous planning and a deep understanding of her craft, she ensures that Coco Flowers always has the right amount of the freshest blooms, avoiding waste and delighting customers with their daily dose of fresh flowers. 

At Coco Flowers, every detail reflects her passion for community. By sourcing vases, treats, teddies, and other gifting extras from local shops, she not only supports but uplifts nearby businesses - truly embodying the spirit of small-town connection and collaboration.

Aligned with Bloomable’s broader mission to support and elevate local artisans, Coco Flowers is more than just a business. They are a vibrant thread in the fabric of the community, bringing people together one bloom at a time for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and even in death.
