You know the song, and now you can't stop humming it either. You know someone who needs this. Bad days don't last, but good friends do. Not fixing anything, just saying: I know it's rough right now, and I'm right here.

Right for a taxing day at the office, a rough patch with someone close, or any of life's harder chapters. Sometimes the kindest thing is a reminder to shake it off, bloom a little, and keep going.

Bloomable makes it easy to send Shake It Off anywhere in South Africa. Through our network of independent local florist artisans, it arrives fresh, right when someone needs reminding they're not alone.

Order Shake It Off today, and show someone they have your full support.

Flower Care Instructions

  • Trim the stems
To keep your flowers hydrated, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, cutting ¾ to 1 inch off the bottom. Do this every 2-3 days so the stems can take in more water, keeping your flowers fresh and vibrant.
  • Use clean water and change regulary
Dirty water can cause bacteria to grow, shortening the life of your flowers. Refresh with room temperature water and clean your vase every 2-3 days before refilling.
  • Add flower food
Adding flower food to the water helps prolong freshness by providing the necessary nutrients. You can also make your own with a mixture of water, sugar, and a touch of bleach.
  • Temperature control
Keep your flowers in a cool, stable environment, away from drafts, heating or cooling vents, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Flowers thrive in cooler temperatures (18-22°C) and avoiding heat sources or fluctuating conditions will help them stay fresh longer.
  • Remove wilting flowers and foliage
Gently remove any dying or wilting flowers to keep your bouquet fresh . This helps prevent bacteria and mold from spreading. Also remove any leaves that sit in the water, as they can decay and contaminate the water.
  • Avoid Fruit
Keep your flowers away from fruit, as ethylene gas released by ripening fruit or decaying plant matter, accelerates the aging of flowers.
  • Mist the petals
Light misting the petals and leaves can help keep them hydrated in drier environments
