The Rainbow Bridge is a sympathy arrangement of pastel seasonal carnations, roses and stocks, finished with greenery and hand-arranged by your local florist. A touching tribute for the loss of a pet.

Losing a beloved pet is one of life's deepest heartbreaks. The Rainbow Bridge takes its name from pets crossing the 'rainbow bridge' to a peaceful meadow, where they are happy and free from pain. When words often aren't enough, flowers offer a gentle way to express comfort and care.

A considered gift to support a grieving pet owner, offering warmth and remembrance during a difficult time. Or a way to remember an old furry friend, long lost but never forgotten.

Bloomable makes it easy to send The Rainbow Bridge anywhere in South Africa. Through our network of independent local florist artisans, it's arranged with care and arrives gently, right on time.

Order The Rainbow Bridge arrangement to honour the everlasting bond between a person and their pet.

Flower Care Instructions

  • Trim the stems
To keep your flowers hydrated, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, cutting ¾ to 1 inch off the bottom. Do this every 2-3 days so the stems can take in more water, keeping your flowers fresh and vibrant.
  • Use clean water and change regulary
Dirty water can cause bacteria to grow, shortening the life of your flowers. Refresh with room temperature water and clean your vase every 2-3 days before refilling.
  • Add flower food
Adding flower food to the water helps prolong freshness by providing the necessary nutrients. You can also make your own with a mixture of water, sugar, and a touch of bleach.
  • Temperature control
Keep your flowers in a cool, stable environment, away from drafts, heating or cooling vents, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Flowers thrive in cooler temperatures (18-22°C) and avoiding heat sources or fluctuating conditions will help them stay fresh longer.
  • Remove wilting flowers and foliage
Gently remove any dying or wilting flowers to keep your bouquet fresh . This helps prevent bacteria and mold from spreading. Also remove any leaves that sit in the water, as they can decay and contaminate the water.
  • Avoid Fruit
Keep your flowers away from fruit, as ethylene gas released by ripening fruit or decaying plant matter, accelerates the aging of flowers.
  • Mist the petals
Light misting the petals and leaves can help keep them hydrated in drier environments
