Flower Care Instructions

  • Trim the stems
    To keep your flowers hydrated, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, cutting ¾ to 1 inch off the bottom. Do this every 2-3 days so the stems can take in more water, keeping your flowers fresh and vibrant.
  • Use clean water and change regulary
    Dirty water can cause bacteria to grow, shortening the life of your flowers. Refresh with room temperature water and clean your vase every 2-3 days before refilling.
  • Add flower food
    Adding flower food to the water helps prolong freshness by providing the necessary nutrients​. You can also make your own with a mixture of water, sugar, and a touch of bleach.
  • Temperature control
    Keep your flowers in a cool, stable environment, away from drafts, heating or cooling vents, direct sunlight, and sudden temperature changes. Flowers thrive in cooler temperatures (18-22°C) and avoiding heat sources or fluctuating conditions will help them stay fresh longer.
  • Remove wilting flowers and foliage
    Gently remove any dying or wilting flowers to keep your bouquet fresh . This helps prevent bacteria and mold from spreading.Also remove any leaves that sit in the water, as they can decay and contaminate the water​.
  • Avoid Fruit
    Keep your flowers away from fruit, as ethylene gas released by ripening fruit or decaying plant matter, accelerates the aging of flowers.
  • Mist the petals
    Light misting the petals and leaves can help keep them hydrated in drier environments

    Beautiful flowers and phenomenal service

    I bought these for my mom and she can't stop telling me how beautiful they are. Even prettier than the photo! Buying the double was well worth the money.

    Also, I had an issue with the shipping address not being captured correctly - I sent a mail and they got back to me within 30 mins! Keep in mind, this was the Saturday afternoon before Mother's Day.

    I've avoided using delivery services lately due to being ripped off and repeatedly disappointed by a well-known company. Thanks Bloomable for exceeding all my expectations!

    80th Birthday Flowers

    It is so tough being so far away from family, we're in NZ but I know I can ALWAYS count on the Bloomable florists to help me with delivering exquisite giflts to my loved ones. It was a bittersweet moment not being able to be with my dearest mother when she turned 80, nothing eases the longing but at least she knewq that she was loved, dearly missed and though of. Again, the handwritten card in our language is always the cherry on the cake.
